It is an important skill to develop to be successful in life and it prevents you from chasing rabbits and spending a lot of time cleaning up messes that take up a lot of time and energy and are preventable.

    Sometimes you just have something to say and you need to say it right now… because if you don’t you’ll forget it, or you’re excited about the topic or maybe you had a moment of impulsivity. Whatever the reason, it often affects your relationships with others because people don’t like to be interrupted. They often interpret it as disrespectful, even if no disrespect was intended on your part. Listen as the Superconscious treats all of your negative experiences related to interrupting and help train your brain to hold your thoughts and interact with others in a more engaging way.

    Transitioning from one activity to another can be challenging, but it is an important skill to learn. It’s a lot like driving a car. You can’t cruise along at 60 mph, then abruptly put your car in reverse. That would be a disaster! Yet, we often expect ourselves to be able to transition from one thing to another and don’t account for the time it takes to switch gears into doing something else. To transition smoothly you need to slow down to a stop, put your car in reverse, or change directions, then start moving again. A transition is a process and cannot happen immediately. As you develop this skill, you’ll learn to build in the time you need to slow down and mentally put it away so you can move into the next thing you need to focus on.

You spend so much time in your head that you can’t ever fully be present in the moment. Maybe you start a project and can’t finish because you can’t ever get it good enough. Or, it takes hours for you to do something that your friends or colleagues would complete in a fraction of the time. When your standard is perfection, anything less is unacceptable. Allow the Superconscious to treat this pattern of setting unrealistic expectations for yourself and to be able to get things done right, without the pressure of perfection. Imagine what it would be like to be able to gauge what good enough really looks like, which might actually be somewhat less than perfect.
